HMU Privacy Policy

HMU (HitMeUp) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect in the HMU app, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have over it.

HMU is a product of LUMAS TECHNOLOGIES PTY LTD, a company registered in Lesotho.

1. Information we collect

HMU may collect:

Profile data, including name, phone number, email address and delivery details.
Order data, including order history, delivery addresses, preferred restaurants and support requests.
Account, device and notification data needed to secure accounts and deliver service updates.
Payment-related details needed to complete transactions through supported payment providers.
App usage and diagnostic information, such as app version, device type, crash reports and connectivity information.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

Create and manage HMU accounts.
Process and track orders and deliveries.
Send order updates, service notifications and account-security notices.
Improve safety, support, customer service and reliability.
Prevent fraud, misuse and unlawful activity.

We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with:

Supabase, for authentication and data hosting.
Firebase Cloud Messaging, for push notifications.
Delivery and order-fulfilment partners.
Payment providers and support vendors.

We do not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as it is needed for service delivery, legal requirements, dispute resolution and enforcement of our agreements.

You can delete your account from within the app. Some information may remain in backups or with third-party providers under their own retention policies or legal obligations. See account deletion instructions.

5. Security

We use reasonable organisational, technical and administrative safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

You may update available account details in the app, request deletion of your account, and contact support with questions about your information.
